Advent Devotional

December

Our Advent Devotional is ready although it’s not a booklet this year!

A Mason Jar Advent is like an Advent calendar in that you draw a card day by day. On that card is an Advent prayer, activity, conversation starter or social media prompt (#NewLifeAdvent2018). We invite you to join us in keeping things simple and helping preserve what’s truly important: hope, peace, joy and love.  Together; day by day, week by week, prayer by prayer, action by action; we’ll count down to that holy night when God slips into the world.

Hat and Mitten Tree

through December 16

Give the gift of warmth! Our annual tree is back in the narthex to collect NEW hats, mittens, scarves and socks. These items will be given to families right here in Bolingbrook.

God’s Global Barnyard

Sundays in December

An animal can make a world of a difference for a family in need.
Animals provide food to eat, fertilizer to grow crops and offspring

Every Sunday in December, there is an opportunity to purchase this gift. If it in honor of a friend or loved one, there are beautiful cards to tell them about their “gift.” Gifts range from $10 for chicks to $500 for a cow. No wrapping required!
