Our Story – Youth Choir Tours

In the past, New Life has shared it’s musical talents throughout the area by touring with our youth choirs. The Possibilities choir consisted of youth in 3rd -7th grade. The New Life Singers consisted of 8th grade-high school. They would perform at other churches or senior living facilities. What a beautiful way to spread the message of God’s love in a fun, upbeat way. Not to mention the memories made and connections built between the youth.

Trips included:

1996 – Rockford IL and Beloit WI to present Joseph & Amazing Tech Dream Coat

1997 – Osseo & Eau Claire WI  with a side trip to Mall of America. One of the places they performed was the church of Pastor Paul Walker’s Mother.

1998 – Davenport IA to present Nic @ Night with Possibilities and Living on the Edge with New Life Singers

1999 – Stoughton WI to perform at St John’s Church where Pastor Tim Greenwald presided (formerly of New Life) and a nursing home

2000 – Lee IL to perform at 1st Lutheran Church where Marsha Swenson presided (formerly of New Life) and present Neck Up/Check up

Groups would stay in people’s homes from the area churches or at the church itself.

In addition to the youth, there were many adults involved as choir director, band members, stage hands and chaperones. It was a great way to connect with multiple generations.
