Our Story – 1st Addition to Building

Only five years into existence, it became clear that New Life needed more space. The under 3-foot tall group still made up the majority of the congregation! So in 1975, a 2200 square foot addition to the original building begins. These  pictures are from the ground breaking.  As you see in the last picture above, the landscape behind the church property was pretty sparse at the time! This addition was added to the west. It would include the current area of the chapel, Genesis, offices and basement. At the time bi-fold doors were installed next to the sanctuary to allow for that space to be closed off or opened up if needed for overflow. The new addition was dedicated in July 1976.
