Family Movie Night

Our RIC taskforce invites you to movie night!

The story focuses on 16-year-old Starr Carter as she tries to understand and react to the disconnect between being a black student at a white private school that exemplifies privilege and with her community. It focuses on issues of racial justice and the disconnect in communities. We will be watching key excerpts from this movie paired with brief “turn and talk” with the people around you and share responses.

Gather to watch, connect with others, and explore issues as we continue to offer ways to promote and advance racial justice. The movie is rated PG-13 and we welcome middle school age youth through adults attend.
