Our Story – Christmas Caroling

A more recent tradition at New Life has been Christmas caroling. It started with our JAB youth group which was for junior high students. Led by Amy Beaugard, they started caroling at Greenleaf Apartments here in Bolingbrook in 2008. Greenleaf is for older residents; many of whom are single. Our yearly crew shows up to spread Christmas cheer with Santa hats and other merry accompaniments. Our crew over the years has broadened to include all ages; no choir experience needed!  Many residents have made requests and joined in singing and/or ringing the bells that we bring.

Unfortunately, it will be the pandemic that causes us to pause this tradition for this year. We encourage everyone to sing loudly for all to hear; from your own homes!
